Munich Massacre

Picture
In the summer of 1972 Munich was hosting the first German Olympics, after the Nazi propaganda Olympics in Berlin which was mainly used for Hitler to show off his beautiful Aryan race. The Israeli team had twelve people who participated in sports from wrestling to weight lifting. Everything was going fine in the Olympics, everyone was happy except Palestine. On the night of September 5, 1972 eight Palestinian terrorists climbed the 6 ½ foot fence surrounding the Olympic village and broke into the Israeli Team apartment. For over 24 hours the Palestinians were keeping the Israeli team hostage demanding Israel to release 234 Arab prisoners in Israel and for Germany to release two other terrorist prisoners. After a day of hostage the terrorists made an agreement to arrange two helicopters for all of the hostages and terrorists to Cairo. Meanwhile German sharpshooters were stationed in the airport planning to shoot out the terrorists. The shooting ended with most of the Israeli team dead, and all but two terrorists survived.
