The Brady Bunch
The Brady Bunch was about the blending of two families. It was the first show of its kind to portray the dynamics of a mother and father joining their families together. The creator of the show brought this about because 20 to 30% of families in America during the early 70s had children from previous relationships. The show ran for 5 seasons and a total of 117 episodes. At the time, producers didn’t think the show was going to be very successful. The networks liked the idea but they still wanted to make some changes.
Marcus Welby M.D.
Marcus Welby M.D. was a very popular medical series. It starred Robert Young who played Marcus Welby. This doctor treated patients with depression, brain damage, breast cancer, leukemia, and addiction to painkillers, and many other diseases. This show had sevens series and 169 episodes. Marcus Welby M.D. was cancelled because there was many other medical television shows that became more popular then Marcus Welby M.D. A couple of years later, the TV show aired the reunion movie The Return of Marcus Welby M.D.
