Disco Dances

Disco Dances were very popular in every teenager’s life. If teenager was going to a dance in the 70’s you would really be going to a disco. It was either a disco or a formal ball. Most people choose discos. At discos people would dance to popular songs at that time. Some of the songs that they would dance to would be Dancing Queen by ABBA and Stayin Alive by The Bee Gees. The Movie Saturday Night Fever made the song Stayin Alive popular. Both of these songs (Dancing Queen and Stayin Alive) had fast beats that were fun to dance to. At Discos people would learn how to do dances that would go along with songs. Most songs didn’t have dances to them. Some of these dances were the Bus stop and the Flight Attendant. These dances imitated people doing their regular activities every day. One of the songs that already had a dance to it was Stayin’ Alive. For this dance you would point one finger in a diagonal line to the sky and bring it down the diagonal line so your finger is pointing at the floor.
