Kent State Massacre

Picture
On May 4, 1970 a couple of student protesters in Kent State University Ohio were killed by the Ohio National Guard. The students were protesting against the Vietnam War. Some people believe that the Kent State Massacre was the beginning of the Watergate scandal eventually destroying the Nixon administration. People got scared in America because those students’ opinions were ridiculed and some people became afraid of a communist revolution due to the fact that those kids were killed just from protesting. The Kent State massacre showed that United States isn’t always the good guy and that sometimes the people you trust might someday turn against you.
